Intelligent Spray System
Overwatering of haul roads by water trucks is a major contributor to uncontrolled movements by vehicles utilising these roads. This road hazard causes incidents of skidding/sliding and vehicle roll-over as well as increased road maintenance costs. The SVA patented Intelligent Spray System (ISS) is specifically designed to minimize excessive watering using speed dependant and gradient adjustment technology.
SVA’s “Intelligent Spray System” (ISS) utilises SVA designed spray heads which control water output relative to vehicle road speed. Traditional spray patterns have no control over the water film thickness, the spray width is dependent on the truck engine RPM and that results in an inconsistent spray width. Utilising SVA’s Intelligent Spray System results in applying a constant film of water on the road surface regardless of the truck speed. As such the spray width stays constant therefore preventing over-watering.
The SVA pump frame is designed to accomodate SVA’s standard spray system or the Intelligent Spray System option.
The pump frame supporting the water pump and all spray bar pipe work is a bolt-on, removable frame mounted to the rear section of the tank subframe with built in fork lift pockets for ease of handling.
The frame has locating hooks to allow installation and final bolting without needing to work under a suspended load.
The water pump & hydraulic motor arrangement is mounted on a removable skid bolted to the pump frame assembly to be easily and safely removed for component change-out at ground level.
The Intelligent Spray System can be supplied with a variety of spray widths to suit specific customer requirements and applications.
