Since forming in 2002,  Support Vehicles Australia (SVA) has grown into a reputable supplier to the mining and construction industries in Western Australia. Today, our vehicles and technicians can be found on most Iron Ore, Gold and Coal Mines in the region.

The History of Support Vehicles Australia

I grew up hanging around a workshop where ideas were expressed using white chalk sticks on concrete floors or on the unpainted steel surface of a job being fabricated. Tradesmen talked in feet and inches and everything was cut by hand using an oxy torch. My dad, Pasco and his partner (my uncle Sam) would ponder how to build transport and mining equipment to meet the challenges they’d accepted when they took a new order over a handshake. A promise to the client on how the product would perform was always the priority. The long hours, late nights and weekends committed to fabricating, assembling, painting wiring and testing the job to meet a deadline was never questioned.  And when things broke you jumped to fix them. If that meant driving a thousand miles on rough corrugated roads to do it, then that’s what you did.

Today we talk about 3D models, weld maps, quality systems, build slots, Gantt charts, Inspection Test Plans and after sales support to achieve the same outcome – build what you committed to build and stand by your word to deliver and support it.

My journey growing up amongst some of the finest artisans of our trades taught me the importance of those commitments and played a fundamental role in creating the SVA that we are today. I’m proud of our company, I’m humbled by the commitment of our people and I’m thankful for the long standing relationships we have with both our suppliers and our customers.
